First of all, after a challenging past twelve months we would like to thank all our customers for their support, loyalty and patience during this difficult time. It’s great that we’ve all been able to keep cycling through the restrictions and lockdown periods, helping with both physical and mental well-being.
As we start a new year we have an announcement – a new chapter for both of our shops. We are moving… relocating our long established Worcester Cycle Centre and bringing our newer store, Elgar Cycles, together under one roof.
We’re not going far, we’re staying local – our new store will be in the village of Hallow just a few miles from the centre of Worcester. We’d like to thank the Clegg family for the opportunity to take on the premises and look forward to bringing our family-run business to Hallow and becoming part of the village community. It looks like we have many regular customers who live close to our new location…
So why the big move?
Well, we’ve been listening – not to the media but to our customers – about what requirements a modern bike shop needs to provide in 2021.
It seems there are plenty of customers who still appreciate the benefits of a visit to a specialist enthusiast-staffed retailer rather than going online. Whether it’s your first bike for many years, a custom build, getting a helmet that fits, setting up your suspension, or discussing a mechanical issue with your gears, it’s reassuring to know there’s an experienced bunch of staff who can help you out.
Our new shop (we’re keeping the Worcester Cycle Centre name) will bring together what we already offer and add some benefits we hope will add convenience. Without the hustle and bustle of the city centre we feel our new location will enhance your shopping experience. If we’re asking you to travel a bit further to see us then we’d like to give you that little bit more…
Here’s what our new WCC store will offer:
- A large free customer car park – easy loading and unloading
- Bike parking inside and out
- A relaxing shopping environment with more space
- A more extensive workshop facility
- All the brands from WCC and Elgar Cycles under one roof
- A more comprehensive range of products, better displayed
- Larger showroom – with more bikes on display
- Test ride area
- Customer toilets
- Easy to find village location
We are looking forward to welcoming both new and regular customers to our new facility – we’ve got ambitious plans and hope to put them in place and open the doors in the early spring of this year. Stay tuned for more info and the launch date.
Best wishes,
Stu, Erika and the team.
Stu and Erica.
Great to hear your news.I’m sure it’ll work out well for you. Hope the move goes smooth.
Many Thanks Lyndon! I hope so to…
A cafe in there would be great!!
Congratulations guys, that is fab news. Look forward to riding out to see your new set up. As an insurance broker in Worcester I would love to help out with insurance needs, if you would like the advice of a keen cyclist and insurance specialist.
Fantastic opportunity and looks like the new premises would lend enough space for a cafw/coffee shop too. Extra income and a cool place to enjoy coffee and cake and a mooch mid ride 🙂
Great news Stu and Erica!
Hope the move goes well and look forward to popping by to see the new premises soon. Good luck with this new project
Don’t forget the cafe!!
Hi Stu, Erica
Great news on the move. If you need any additional person power to help with the transition, feel free to give me a call. Make a change from sitting at the work PC
