We developed this technology in partnership with McLaren Applied Technologies, and the result of this are a host of drastic performance improvements, namely in the vertical compliance department. Without giving a physics lecture, we found that focusing on vertical compliance, instead of fork splay, meant that we could improve smoothness, speed, and comfort in one fell swoop. And of all the bikes that we’ve tested with our Rolling Efficiency Model, the new Roubaix outperforms anything on the market.

Lastly, we spec’d the Roubaix Sport with Shimano 105 11-speed mechanical shifting, hassle-free Tektro Spyre mechanical disc brakes, and Axis Sport wheels that have been cased in our Turbo Pro 28mm tires.

Bianchi understand that to achieve fast rides with the utmost aerodynamic performance both bike and rider must be equally efficient. With assistance from top pro riders and extensive wind tunnel development and research  Bianchi ensure the Aria is one of the most advanced aero bikes in production.

To get the best out of the frame, the tubes shape, structure and profiles all combine to create the lowest possible drag while the bike’s frame and fork geometry allows the rider to comfortably hold and advanced tuck position, decreasing air resistance for full aero efficiency.

The Aria is not only the perfect road race companion but is equally at home on the triathlon circuit. The aggressive geometry allows for perfect Tri positioning – the horizontal-back aero tuck position can be easily achieved with the use of additional clip-on bars and the bars’ stack height set accordingly with saddle height and angle adjusted to ensure the Aria gives the best possible Tri set up. The Ultegra groupset gives sharp and accurate shifting with Vision Team 35 comp wheels enabling fast acceleration with confident handling. The Aria is a bike for the speed enthusiast, the rider who can want to push the limits.
